Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Threadbarn (“Threadbarn”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and our website at threadbarn.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which are incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
Threadbarn is operated by Md. Tanbir Ahmed Suvo, an individual sole proprietor based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Brand name: Threadbarn
Operator: Md. Tanbir Ahmed Suvo (sole proprietor)
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
Contact email: hello@threadbarn.app
Website: https://threadbarn.app
2. The Service
Threadbarn is a writing assistant that helps you draft content for X (Twitter). You provide a topic, format preference, and tone — we use AI to generate three variations in your voice. You can review, copy, edit, or discard the output.
2.1 What Threadbarn is
Threadbarn is a writing tool. It helps you create draft content faster.
2.2 What Threadbarn is NOT
Threadbarn does not:
- Connect to your X (Twitter) account or any other social media account
- Post on your behalf or schedule posts to be published automatically
- Automate engagement (likes, replies, follows, retweets) on any platform
- Provide bot, automation, or growth-hacking features
- Increase or simulate engagement metrics
You are solely responsible for reviewing and publishing any content generated by Threadbarn. What you publish, when, and how is entirely your decision.
3. Your account
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3.2 Account creation
You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password (or use one of our supported social sign-in providers). You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3.3 Account accuracy
You agree to provide accurate information when signing up and to keep it updated.
4. Plans, billing, and Paddle as Merchant of Record
4.1 Free plan
The Free plan provides limited usage of the Service at no cost. Current limits are stated on our pricing page at threadbarn.app/pricing. We may change these limits with reasonable notice.
4.2 Pro plan
The Pro plan is offered as a recurring subscription, billed monthly or annually. Current pricing is stated on our pricing page. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.
4.3 Lifetime plan
We may offer a one-time lifetime plan at our discretion. Lifetime plans are non-refundable after the 30-day refund window described in our Refund Policy. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Service as actively operated by us.
4.4 Paddle as Merchant of Record
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR) and reseller of our products. This means:
- Paddle is the legal seller of record for transactions and is responsible for collecting payment, calculating and remitting applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, and similar taxes, and handling refunds
- Your contract for payment is with Paddle, not directly with us
- Receipts, invoices, and tax documents will be issued by Paddle and may show “Paddle” as the seller on your card or bank statement
- By purchasing a plan, you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms and Paddle’s Refund Policy at https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy
You will be asked to confirm acceptance of Paddle’s terms and our Refund Policy at checkout, before payment is taken.
4.5 Taxes
Prices shown on our pricing page may not include applicable taxes. Paddle calculates and collects sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar taxes based on your billing location and remits them to the relevant tax authorities.
4.6 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, by emailing hello@threadbarn.app, or by contacting Paddle directly via the link in your purchase confirmation email or at https://paddle.net. To stop the next renewal, please cancel at least 48 hours before the end of the current billing period. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
4.7 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy at threadbarn.app/refund. The summary: 30-day no-questions-asked refund window for new purchases; case-by-case after that.
4.8 Price changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes apply to your next renewal, not your current billing period.
5. Acceptable use
5.1 Permitted use
You may use Threadbarn to:
- Generate content drafts for your personal or professional X posts
- Build a voice profile from your own writing samples
- Edit, review, and copy generated content for your own publishing
5.2 Prohibited use
You agree not to use Threadbarn to:
Content prohibitions:
- Generate content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, hateful, threatening, or that incites violence
- Generate child sexual abuse material or any content sexualizing minors
- Generate sexually explicit content involving real people without their consent
- Generate content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in published content
Automation and abuse prohibitions:
- Generate content for spam campaigns, phishing, deceptive marketing, fake accounts, bot networks, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Use the Service in a way that violates the terms of X (Twitter) or any other platform you publish to
- Plug Threadbarn into automated posting systems that publish without human review (we strongly recommend manual review of every post)
Service-protection prohibitions:
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our underlying AI models, prompts, or system instructions
- Use the Service or its outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve any other AI model
- Resell, redistribute, white-label, or re-package the Service or output as a substantially similar product
- Upload writing samples that you do not own or have permission to use
- Circumvent plan limits, technical restrictions, or security measures
- Use automated tools to access the Service except as expressly permitted (e.g., browsers, accessibility tools)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Repeat or severe violations may result in permanent termination without refund.
5.3 Your responsibility for output
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, biased, repetitive, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing every variation before publishing it. Threadbarn is a draft generator — what you choose to publish is your decision and your responsibility.
6. Content ownership
6.1 Your input
You retain ownership of any topics, writing samples, and other content you provide. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it as needed to provide the Service.
6.2 Generated output
Subject to these Terms, you own the output we generate from your inputs. You may use generated content for any lawful purpose, including commercial use.
We do not claim ownership of your generated content. However, because AI-generated content may not be unique to you, we cannot guarantee that similar content has not been or will not be generated for other users.
6.3 Our property
The Threadbarn name, logo, website, design, and underlying software are our property (or licensed to us). These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks, brand, or proprietary technology.
7. Third-party services
Threadbarn relies on third-party services to operate, including:
- Paddle for payments (Merchant of Record)
- Clerk for authentication
- Supabase for data storage
- Anthropic for AI generation
- Exa for web search
- Vercel for hosting
These services have their own terms and privacy policies. By using Threadbarn, you also agree to be bound by their terms where applicable. Our Privacy Policy describes what data is shared with each.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy at threadbarn.app/privacy. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
9. Service changes and availability
9.1 Changes
We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that significantly reduce features available on a paid plan.
9.2 Availability
We aim to keep the Service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages (e.g., Anthropic, Supabase, Vercel), or causes outside our control.
9.3 Discontinuation
We reserve the right to discontinue the Service. If we discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice and work with Paddle to process refunds for unused subscription time where applicable.
10. Termination
10.1 By you
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Email hello@threadbarn.app if you’d like us to delete your data.
10.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your payment fails and is not corrected within a reasonable period
- We are required to do so by law
- You engage in fraud, abuse, or activity that risks harm to other users or the Service
10.3 Effect of termination
On termination, your access to paid features ends. We will delete or anonymize your personal data per our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 6, 12, 13, and 14) will survive.
11. Complaints and dispute resolution
11.1 Contact us first
If you have a complaint about the Service, billing, or our handling of your account, please email hello@threadbarn.app with the subject line “Complaint.” We aim to:
- Acknowledge complaints within 2 business days
- Provide a substantive response within 14 days
11.2 Escalation to Paddle
For payment-related complaints (charges, refunds, invoices, subscription management), you may also contact Paddle directly via the link in your purchase confirmation email or at https://paddle.net, since Paddle is the Merchant of Record.
11.3 External resolution
If a complaint cannot be resolved through us or Paddle, you may have the right to escalate to:
- Your local consumer protection authority
- A relevant alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body in your jurisdiction
- For EU consumers: the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Generated content will be accurate, original, or fit for any particular purpose
- Defects in the Service will be corrected
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US (OR TO PADDLE ON OUR BEHALF) IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER
This limitation applies even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Threadbarn and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
- Content you generate or publish using the Service
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved as follows:
- First, contact us. Email hello@threadbarn.app to describe the issue. Per our complaint process (Section 11), we aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and respond substantively within 14 days.
- If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
If you are a consumer based in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms removes your right to bring proceedings in your local courts under your local laws.
16. General
16.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
16.2 Severability
If any part of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect.
16.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
16.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a sale, merger, or restructuring.
16.5 Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:
- Update the “Last updated” date at the top
- Notify active paid users by email if the changes are material
- Post the updated Terms on this page
Continued use of the Service after a Terms update means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, stop using the Service. If a material change disadvantages you within an active paid period, contact us and we will consider a fair adjustment.
